Generosity is the habit of giving freely and not expecting anything back in return, and I try to be intentional about giving to others daily. I don’t always get it right, especially on difficult days – and that’s when I know to get back in the saddle and try again tomorrow.
Pointers On Generosity:
Every day try a bit harder to be generous with your:
● Honesty: Sometimes, it’s hard to be honest, but it is the only way. Stand in your truth and be brave enough to honor the true words others say about you.
● Sense of humor: While I can be serious a lot of the time, there is nothing like having a good laugh. Make time for the light moments, allow them in – make space for the joy.
● Love – Be generous in love and with love. We have one life, and nothing is guaranteed, so spread the love!
● Personal Life: Be generous with your family, wife, and loved ones – be generous with your time and love and appreciate those special moments.
● Feelings: Something that I had to learn about, and I am so glad I did. Share how you feel. That takes me back to point Number 2 – honesty about how you feel, in essence, will set you free.
● Checkbook: Be generous with your checkbook. You know what is needed and where. Follow your heart, and abundance will follow you.
● Contacts: I share my contacts with anyone who needs them. And I love it when two get together and form a business or have something extraordinary come out of an introduction. Share those contacts liberally and watch the magic happen.
● Resources: Share what you have with others – that’s how this fine country was built, so lead the way in sharing what you have.
● Time: Be present, show up. It’s very easy to get swallowed up in everyday life with work pressures and commitments, but it’s very important to be there for those you care about.
● Forgiveness: Set yourself free from any grudge you might be hanging onto – by the simple act of forgiveness and while you are at it, forgive yourself.
